Tom Blumenauer is in his third year as an assistant coach on new head coach Mark Raymond's staff at Williams. He will serve as the Offensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.
Blumenauer comes to Williams after serving as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Bowdoin College from March 2015 to March 2016. While he coached the Polar Bears they finished 2nd in the NESCAC in Passing Yards and Passing Touchdowns. In 2015, the Bowdoin College Offense finished 2nd in the NESCAC in Red Zone Scoring Percentage.
Prior to coaching at Bowdoin, Blumenauer served as Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Quarterbacks Coach at Endicott College from July 2014 to March of 2015. In 2014, the Endicott College offense finished 5th in the nation in Passing Yards for the regular season, while quarterback Drew Frenette, finished 5th in the nation in passing yards with 3,152 and 14th in the nation in passing touchdowns with 28. Wide Receiver Nate Lewis finished 1st in the nation in the regular season in pass receptions with 97 and 3rd in the nation in receiving yards with 1,344.
Before arriving at Endicott, Blumenauer served as Recruiting Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, and Wide Receivers Coach at St. Lawrence University from August 2010 to May of 2014.
In 2010, the St. Lawrence University Football team was crowned Liberty League champions and advanced to the NCAA playoffs. In 2013 St. Lawrence finished the season with a record of 7-3, their best record in 31 years. The 2013 Saints offense ranked 2nd nationally, allowing only 4 quarterback sacks in 318 pass attempts, while finishing 3rd in the nation with a +22 turnover margin
Blumenauer played outside linebacker and free safety at Ithaca from 2004-06, earning Empire 8 All-Star recognition in 2005 and 2006, as well as, All-East Region Team honors in 2006.
