Tom Foote returned to Williamstown first as an assistant wrestling coach for the Ephs after a career on the mats that ranks him as the most accomplished heavyweights in Williams College wrestling history.
A two-sport standout, lettering all four years in football and wrestling, Foote was an All-NESCAC performer on the defensive line for the Williams football team in 2012.
Foote joins Mark Raymond's first staff at Williams and begins his first year as an assistant football coach at Williams.
After graduating from Williams with a degree in American Studies in 2013, Foote served as a volunteer assistant wrestling coach under Eph head coach Scott Honecker in 2013-14.
During the 2014-2015 season Foote was as assistant wrestling coach at Episcopal High School in Houston, TX.
Foote returned to Williams as a full-time assistant coach under Honecker in time for the 2015-16 wrestling season and he will now be assisting both Eph football and wrestling.
During his tenure as the heavyweight for the Eph wrestling team, Foote appeared in the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) finals all four seasons earned all-NEWA honors. He was a three-time NCAA Championships qualifier.
Foote will coach the defensive line for the football Ephs.
