WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Third seeded Williams (11-4, 6-4 NESCAC) will host archrival Amherst (10-5, 5-5 NESCAC) Saturday at 12:00 p.m. on Williamson Field in the first round of the NESCAC Tournament.

Back on September 23 Amherst nipped Williams on Williamson Field 3-2 in over time.

The Ephs, who are the third seed for the first time since 2006 and sixth time overall, are seeking their first NESCAC Championship since 2004 and fourth in program history. This marks the seventh straight year the Ephs have advanced to the NESCAC Tournament. Williams went 7-2 over the final nine games of the regular season to gain momentum heading into a matchup against Amherst.

The Ephs own a 4-2 series advantage in the NESCAC Championships over the Mammoths, but fell to Amherst, 2-1, in the 2015 NESCAC Quarterfinals.
