HADLEY, MA – Williams College senior forward Libby Dolan (Barrington, R.I.) has been named the NESCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week for leading the Ephs to two wins in their first two games of the season.
Dolan scored the game-wining goal in wins over St. John Fisher and Trinity and has scored all four of the Eph goals this season.
Dolan netted three goals in the 3-2 win over St. John Fisher in a game played at Hamilton College and then she knocked home the lone goal in the Ephs' 1-0 win over NESCAC foe Trinity.
"I'm thrilled the NESCAC recognized Libby as the Player of the Week," said Eph head coach Alix Barrale. "She certainly deserves the honor. Libby is an offensive giant!"
Dolan is more than just a goal scorer. "Understand Libby is much more than just a scoring machine," added Barrale. "She plays strong defense to win the ball back in our offensive end. She draws penalty corners when she is being doubled in the circle. She creates offensive opportunities for our forwards and midfielders around her. She is the real deal!"
