Emma Ticknor, Isabel Perry accorded All-NESCAC Honors

HADLEY, MA. — Williams College seniors Emma Ticknor (Madison, N.J.) and Isabel Perry (Yorktown, N.Y.) have been named First Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference and Second Team All-NESCAC, respectively, for their play during the 2019 season.

Williams finished the season 13-4. The Ephs had an 11-game win streak and at one point were ranked No. 7 in the country in the NFHCA Div. III poll.

Ticknor, a forward, led the Ephs — and the NESCAC — in points (34) and goals (14), finishing her season with 14 goals and 6 assists. She had a hand in 40.8 percent of the goals Williams scored this season. Her goal, assist and point outputs were career highs. She finished her career at Williams with 21 goals and 13 assists for 55 points. All three of her game-winning goals came in 2019.

"I am thrilled that ticknor and Perry have been recognized with selections to the ALL-NESCAC field hockey teams, they are both incredibly deserving of this honor," said Ephs' head coach Alix Barrale. "Emma Ticknor has been stellar all season. She is a force in the offensive circle. She is a gifted player with outstanding ability. More impressive is her defensive pursuit of the ball all over the field. Her tireless efforts help us win the ball back in pressure situations."

Perry, a midfielder, finished the season with one goal, a game-winning goal in the second overtime against Hamilton. She was instrumental both offensively and defensively with her crisp passing, vision, and tenacity and winning the ball back.

"Isabel is our secret weapon," Barrale said. "She is the behind the scenes genius that knows how to get the job done without drawing too much attention to herself. She is one to the most selfless players I have ever coached. She is an incredibly skilled and talented field hockey player whose competitive drive is second to none. Both Ticknor and Perry will be sorely missed."
