HADLEY, MA – Williams College senior guard and captain, Hayden Rooke-Ley, has been named the NESCAC Men's basketball Player of the Week for his role in leading the Ephs to two wins.

Rooke-Ley tallied 58 points in Eph wins over RPI (86-69) and Springfield (67-59) on the road that extended the Eph win streak to seven and raised their season record to 7-2.

At RPI Rooke-Ley tallied 31 first half points on his way to a 43-point night, highlighted by his connecting on 10 of 14 three-point shots.

Last Saturday at Springfield College Rooke-Ley made history when he drained his first five free throws to set the NCAA Division III In-Season Consecutive free throw mark at 67. The Division III previous high by a male was 66 by James Jones of Delaware Valley College in 2011. Against the Pride he netted 16 points.

Over the two games Rooke-Ley made 52.2% of his three-pointers, contributed five assists and had but one turnover.

Next up for the Ephs after exams and a holiday break is the Salem State Tournament. The Ephs will play nationally ranked WPI at 5:00 PM on December 29. The tournament will conclude on December 30 when the Ephs will play the host Salem State Vikings at 5:00 PM.
