WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Williams College senior captain Dan Wohl (La Canada, Calif.) has been named Second Team All-Northeast Region by D3Hoops.com.

Wohl, the second leading scorer in NESCAC and the Ephs' leading scorer this season with 493 points (19.7/game) was previously named to the All-NESCAC First Team.

Wohl started all 25 games this season and a year ago he set the Eph single season record by starting all 33 contests.

Thirteen times this season Wohl netted 20 or more points. This season he finished fourth in NESCAC in rebounding with 8.6/game.

In all, Wohl led the Eph team in six categories including points (493), rebounds (214), minutes (807), free throws made (115), steals (23), and blocks (19).

Recently Wohl, a double major in history and economics, was the lone New England player to be named a Capital One Academic All-American as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Wohl ended his career in the Purple Valley ranked 13th in scoring with 1,278 points and he was eighth in rebounds with 625.

There were 711 players nominated nationwide for the eight D3Hoops.com All-Region Teams.

It's the 14th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

Regions that have fewer than 40 Division III teams have two teams. The Northeast, which is nearly twice that size, has four teams, while all other regions have three teams.
