WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams College men's basketball senior forward and captain Dan Aronowitz has been named to the D3Hoops All-New England Second Team.
Previously this season Aronowitz was accorded his second consecutive First Team All-NESCAC honor.
This season Dan Aronowitz has started all 31 games for the Ephs and is the team's leading scorer with a per game average of 16.9, which is fourth best in NESCAC. He also averages 6.3 rebounds a game. In addition Aronowitz has recorded 42 steals and handed out 62 assists.
"I continue to be more and more proud of Daniel, and am really happy for him to be recognized for his hard work and dedication to this team and our program," said Eph head coach Kevin App. "Daniel's versatility as a player, especially as a scorer, has left his mark on this program."
Aronowitz became the 33rd Eph to cross the 1,000-point threshold this season and with 525 points on the year his career total now stands at 1,333, placing him 14th on the Eph all-time scoring list.
"Daniel made it a major goal to get this program back to the Final Four before he graduated, and to see this team come together under his play and leadership has been special to watch."
In his career in the Purple Valley Aronowitz has played in 112 games, made 140 3-pointers, snared 515 rebounds, recorded 91 steals and registered 178 assists.
Aronowitz and the Ephs will be in action this Friday evening when they take on Augustana College (Ill) in the national semifinals being played in the Salem [VA] Civic Center at 7:30 p.m.
