HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior guard Bobby Casey (Scranton, PA) was chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, January 7.
Casey averaged 24.0 points per game in a pair of conference road wins. He shot 78.3 percent (18-for-23) from the floor, and 75 percent (12-for-16) from three-point range. He scored 23 points in a 76-68 overtime win at Wesleyan, including eight of the Ephs' 14 points in the extra session. The 23 points marked a career high at the time. He topped that with a 25-point effort the next day in a 91-57 win at Connecticut College. His seven three-pointers against the Camels were also a career-best.
