HADLEY, MA -- Williams College senior captain Mike Greenman (Linwood, N.J.) was named the NESCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his role in helping the Ephs win the 2018 NESCAC title and securing the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament that goes to the
Playing for the first time in five weeks due to injury, Greenman came off the bench to spark the Ephs. He averaged 21.5 minutes, 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists, while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor and 60 percent from 3-point range.
In a 76-73 semifinal win over Hamilton, Greenman scored 14 points in 22 minutes, hitting 3-of-4 3-pointers. In a 69-58 championship win over Wesleyan Sunday, Greenman played 21 minutes, contributing nine points, five assists and four rebounds.
Greenman's timely shooting and steady play in the backcourt was key in the Ephs' play this past weekend. In his four years at Williams Greenman has played in two Final Fours and 113 games.
The Ephs return to action at home this Friday at 7:30 PM when they host Bridgewater State (MA) in a First Round NCAA Tournament contest.
