With today being the final home regular season game for the Ephs, today's game was Senior Day for the Ephs. The six Eph seniors: Bobby Casey, James Heskett, Michael Kempton, Kyle Scadlock, Marcos Soto and Jake Porath were honored before today's matchup.

"The only way I can thank the seniors enough is to give them the opportunity in their final regular season home game," said Eph head coach Kevin App on Senior Day. He also commented on Jake Porath's performance tonight, "Jake is one of those guys that does everything. He leads this team and this program and supports his teammates. He hasn't gotten the opportunity to play because of some of the other guys in his position, but you saw the energy and fight he has, and it was fun to see him out there."

With five of the six seniors starting in today's game, they did not disappoint. Jake Porath scored the first 4 points for the Ephs with one from deep and one from the line. Marcos Soto would add onto the Ephs total with 5 points of his own in the first 10 minutes of action. However, the Continentals were hitting shots early to give them a 26-22 edge over the Ephs with 8:46 left in the first half.

The Ephs were down seven heading into the final minute of the half, but Bobby Casey led a late 5-2 run against the Continentals putting the game at 42-38 in favor of the Continentals after 20 minutes of play.

With 14 minutes left in the game, Henry Feinberg tied the game at 50-50 with a pair of free throws. The Ephs would go on to score seven answered points over the next three minutes bringing them up 5 with just over ten minutes left. However, the Continentals would rally back to even the game at 55-55 with 9:18 left in the game.

The game would come down to the last minute. The Continentals were up 2 with under a minute left. The Ephs were able to get a good look with a corner three but could not connect on the deep shot. On the next possession, Mark Lutz would knock down a 3 pointer to put the Continentals up 5. The Ephs were unable to come back, and the Continentals won 77-70.

"Really proud of the team for coming out with everything they had," commented coach App on his team's performance today. "Without James [Heskett] and some foul trouble, guy after guy stepped up and made plays to give us an opportunity to win in the last couple of minutes. Hard fought weekend, but we came up short both times, unfortunately."
