This marks the second year in a row that both Casey and Heskett were named to the All-NESCAC teams.Casey was named to the First Team again this season and Heskett was named to the Second Team this year.
Casey and Heskett will leld the Ephs into First Round NCAA Tournament action on Friday at 7:30 PM in Chandler Gym as the Ephs are playing Husson University and that contest follows the 5:30 PM tilt between Plattsburgh State an Gwynedd University, Friday's winners will met Saturday at 7:00 PM in Chandler Gym.
Casey leads the 20-6 Ephs in scoring (18.5 ppg.), minutes played (805), three pointers made (74), assists (114), and is tied for first in steals with James Heskett (26). With 4.4 assists per game in NESCAC play Casey led the conference in assists per game.
Casey is now the all-time leader in three-pointers at Williams with 265. His 480 points this year gives him 1,450 in his career.
In 112 games Casey has registered 301 assists and grabbed 379 rebounds. "Bobby has had a tremendous career and season," said Eph head coach Kevin App. "To make NESCAC First Team two years in a row is quite an accomplishment. This year specifically he has really found a great balance of playmaking and shot making for our group. His leadership is a major reason we are still competing."
James Heskett is averaging 17.0 points a game this winter and he has collected 324 career rebounds in 110 career games. Heskett has made 221 three pointers in his career with 156 coming in the last two seasons. His 409 points this year gives him a career total of 1303.
"James followed up a strong junior campaign with an equally impressive senior season," noted App. "The confidence he gained last year has helped lead our group this season and been a major reason for our success. I'm incredibly proud of him for being named to an All-NESCAC team back-to-back years."
