Matt Karpowicz Named First Team All-NESCAC

HADLEY, MASS. – Williams College senior center Matt Karpowicz was voted onto the All-NESCAC first Team this season by the conference coaches.

Karpowicz played in all 25 games this winter for the 13-12 Ephs won the Little Three title outright and advanced to the NESCAC Tournament semifinals. He averaged 15.4 points a game and collected 8.5 rebounds a game. 

An accomplished passer, Karpowicz completed a rare triple for a big man. He led the Ephs in scoring, rebounds, and assists (2.6/game). Additionally, he led the team in blocked shots with 23.

In 116 games in the Purple Valley Karpowicz tallied 1,134 points, collected 517 rebounds, and dished out 163 assists.

Eph head coach Kevin App stated, "I'm proud of Matt for being recognized by our league as an All-NESCAC performer. Matt's size, play-making, and offensive talents allowed our team to play through him this season" 

"On top of the on-court performance, I'm proud of Matt, Henry Feinberg, Mickey Babek , and Vince Brookins for leading this season's team. We would not have reached our potential down the stretch if they were not willing to learn, grow, and lead throughout the season."
