Mary Nolte enters her third season as an Assistant Coach for the Williams College men's and women's cross country and track & field teams in 2023.

Prior to Williams, Nolte served as a Graduate Assistant for the cross country and track & field programs at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, where she coached the long sprints, middle-distance and relay events, while completing her master’s degree in kinesiology.

Nolte has spent most of her professional career at Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pa.), her alma mater, where she was an Assistant Coach for cross country and track & field (2014-17), Assistant Director of Admissions (2017-19) and Admissions/Athletic Liaison (2020-21). While coaching, Nolte worked primarily with the middle-distance and distance athletes.

During her time as an assistant, the Red Devils found great success, with nine All-Americans in cross country and track & field, 20 NCAA track & field qualifiers, 35 individual Centennial Conference champions and four conference champion relay teams.

Nolte graduated from Dickinson in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in English and Education. An accomplished student, she earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in 2012 and 2013, received the Lloyd W. Hughes Scholar-Athlete award for maintaining the highest GPA of all student-athletes at Dickinson and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa during her senior year.

Outside of the classroom, Nolte was a four-year varsity member and two-year captain of Dickinson's cross country and track & field teams. She anchored the distance medley relay to a Centennial Conference title in 2011, competed at NCAA Championships in both cross country and track & field (1,500 meters) and currently holds three top-five times on Dickinson’s all-time list in the 800, 1,500 and 5,000 meters.

In addition to her bachelor's and master's degrees, Nolte holds the USTFCCCA Track & Field Technical Certification, the Return on Inclusion Inclusive Leadership Certificate and is a graduate of the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy (WCA Class #52). She values the Ephs' tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
