James Singewald

James Singewald enters his second season as an Assistant Coach for the Williams College men's and women's swimming & diving teams in 2024-25.

Previously, he served for two years as the Women’s Assistant Swimming Coach at The College of New Jersey. During his time at The College of New Jersey, he coached All-Americans, as well as multiple All-Conference student-athletes.

In 2023, Singewald received the honor of being one of six recipients of the CSCAA Jean Freeman Scholarship, which is given annually to assistants based on their contributions to the team.

Prior to The College of New Jersey, Singewald coached one year at his alma mater, Montclair State University, where he also swam for four years. There, he obtained four school records, which three stand today.

At Montclair, Singewald graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's in exercise science, with a concentration in sports conditioning, and a minor in sports coaching. Before Singewald started his collegiate coaching career, he gained experience coaching at the club level for eight years.
