Sam Goldenring & Beau David Earn All-NESCAC Honors

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Junior Sam Goldenring and sophomore Beau David have been named All-NESCAC in Men's Golf.

This is the third time that Goldenring has been honored and this marks the first time for David.

Sam Goldenring earns a spot on the First Team for the second year in a row and was a Second Team honoree in 2016-17. Goldenring won the Duke Nelson (69-70-139) and Williams Fall Invitational (69-71-140) to start the season and captured medalist honors at the Williams Spring Invitational (73-66-139). He did not finish lower than fourth in seven events this season. Goldenring was recently selected to play as an individual at the upcoming NCAA Championships

"Sam had a fantastic year," noted Eph head coach Josh Hillman. "He had a scoring average of 71.25 and won three tournaments in 8 starts!  He is a player you can count on day and day out and always gives 100%."

Beau David was named to the All-NESCAC Second Team. David tied for third at the Williams Fall Invite (72-74-146), shot 148 at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier (73-75) and at the rain-shortened NESSCAC Championships this spring he shot 110 (36-74), which tied him for 9th place.

"Beau has become one of the stronger players in NESCAC golf," said Hillman. "He has matured as a golfer and you can see it in his scores. Beau limited his big numbers and that allowed him to keep he scores down producing a lot of good results. I expect to see Beau to continue to develop and become one of the better players in NESCAC golf in the upcoming years."
