Sam Goldenring Sits in Third Place at NCAA Championships After Day 2

NICHOLASVILLE, KY – Williams junior Sam Goldenring is now in a six way tie for third play at the NCAA Championships after shooting a 74 (2 over par) Keene Trace Course on the second day of the championships.

Goldenring is still under par as he shot a three-under first round and he is one shot back of Cameron Willis (Wittenberg) and Zane Brownrigg (Methodist).

Both Willis and Brownrigg shot 72 the first day and then went two under on the second day to take the lead.

Goldenring was one over on both the front and back nines in a round that saw him record three birdies on the day, but also five bogeys.
