Norman, Oklahoma – Williams College junior Sam Goldenring has been named a Division III Ping First Team All-American the Golf Coaches Association of America announced today.
Goldenring becomes just the second Eph men's golfer to earn All-America honors twice in his career. Goldenring's first All-America honor came in 2017.
Will Sicks '03 who earned the honor in both 2002 and 2003.
Goldenring competed in the NCAA DIII Championship a an individual and he topped the field of 216 golfers to take home the individual title. He is the first Eph to win the NCAA DIII individual title.
Goldenring showed great composure on the final day when he opened his round by going three under par through the first six holes, but a bogey on eight and a double bogey on nine brought him back to even par on the day. On the back nine Goldenring was a picture of consistency rattling off nine straight pars to win top honors by two shots with a final four-round score of 275, three under par.
