Ephs remain third in USCHO.com national poll

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Not playing since the last USCHO.com national poll came out on December 13 did not penalize the Williams men's ice hockey team as the Ephs remain third.

The Ephs are one point behind second ranked Oswego and 20 points behind leader St. Norbert (MN). Williams increased its point total by 10 in the latest poll and upped their first place vote total to 3.

The Ephs will take to the ice for the first time since the holiday break Friday when they travel to Amherst to face the Lord Jeffs.

Williams, the lone team in the USCHO.com poll without a loss (7-0-1/4-0-0 NESCAC), will faceoff with Amherst at 7:00 p.m. in Orr Rink. Amherst (5-2-2/3-2-1 NESCAC) has not lost in its last six contests, having beaten Wesleyan 3-2 on Sunday and tying Trinity on Monday 2-2 in their two contests since the holiday break.

Saturday the Ephs will also take to the road when they head to Clinton, NY to play Hamilton College at 3:00 p.m.
