HADLEY, MA -- Williams College first year forward Roberto Cellini (Montreal, Que.) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, February 7.
Cellini played a big part in both of the Ephs' conference wins last week. In the third period against Trinity, he recorded a goal and an assist in a 42-second span. Cellini's goal tied the game at 3-3 less than 30 seconds after the Bantams took the lead. Williams went on to win 5-4 in overtime. The next day, he added two goals and an assist to help the Ephs rallied from a 2-0 deficit to edge Wesleyan, 4-3. His second goal of the game proved to be the game-winner.
To date, Cellini has played in all 20 games for the Ephs in his first season and has 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points. Three of his 5 goals have been game-winners.
