The Ephs are 3-2 versus teams ranked ahead of them. The lone loss to a ranked team came back on November 25 when they were downed 3-1 by #2 ranked Geneseo in Lansing Chapman Rink.
The Ephs own wins over three ranked teams. Williams went to #6 Trinity on January 4 and downed the Bantams 4-3. Williams defeated 12th ranked Babson on the road on November 24, 3-2. The loss by Babson was their first home loss in November since 2012, snapping their November unbeaten skein at 27 games (25-0-2).
On December 29 and 30 the Ephs went to Oswego State and split the two-game series with the #2 ranked Lakers. The Ephs won the first game in OT 2-1 and then lost 6-3 the next day.
Williams is 6-2 in its last eight games and the Ephs have out scored their opponents 26 to 20 in those eight most recent contests. Overall the Ephs are 7-2 on the road and 2-2-1 at home.
Senior forward Marcus Mollica leads the Ephs in goals (11) and points 20. He has assisted on nine goals this winter. Mollica has tallied four game-winners to date.
Senior forward Roberto Cellini is the team leader in assists with 11 and his four goals gives him 15 points this season.
Senior goalie Michael Pinios has seen the most time between the pipes, logging 655:43 in the net. He has saved 264 of 294 shots he has faced for a .898 save percentage and he has authored one shutout this winter. He is 8-3-0 this season.
Next up for the Ephs is a home NESCAC weekend, where they will host Bowdoin on Friday night at 7:00 PM and then they will square off against Colby at 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon.
The Ephs opened the 2018-19 season on the road winning at Bowdoin on November 16 4-1 and then they claimed a 4-3 win at Colby the next day.
