Soph. Defenseman Mike Armstrong Named NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Co-Player of the Week

HADLEY, MASS. -- Williams College sophomore defenseman Mike Armstrong (West Newton, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC's Co-Player of the Week
for his role in the Ephs' two wins this past weekend.

Armstrong shares the award with Tufts' first year goalie Josh Sarlo who hails from Lynbrook, N.Y.

Armstrong netted his first three collegiate goals this weekend. His first collegiate goal came on Friday night with just 5:12 remaining in the third period versus Bowdoin and it turned out to be the game-winner as the Ephs downed the visiting Plar Bears 2-0.

On Saturday against the Colby Mules in the Ephs' Lansing Chapman Rink, Armstrong again tallied the game-winner. This time he scored at 9:33 of the second period. Armstrong then added a empty net goal late in the third period in the Ephs' 6-3 win.
