WILIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Williams College junior defenseman Jack McCool has been named to the New England Hockey Writers DII-III All-Star team.
McCool was one of six defensemen named to the 19-member all-star contingent.
This winter McCool appeared in all 26 games for the 17-8-1 Ephs who advanced to the NESCAC Semifinals after finishing in first place in the NESCAC during the regular season
This year McCool scored two goals and assisted on a team-high 21 goals to lead the Ephs with 23 points. His two goals and 16 assists in NESCAC contests tied him for third in the conference in points with 18. The NESCAC coaches voted McCool to the All-NESCAC First Team.
An Assistant Captain, "Jack McCool had an outstanding season, leading our strong defensive group," stated Eph head coach Bill Kangas. "A complete 3-zone player, Jack is a great defender, smart and savvy with the puck, makes great outlet passes, and adds offense to the rush up ice and in the offensive zone. We rely on Jack to be a leader on the blue line."
In 77 games in his three years wearing the purple and gold, McCool has appeared in 77 games, tallied 11 goals and registered 35 assists for 46 points.
