Sophomore Cory Lund chosen NESCAC Player of the Week

HADLEY, MA — Sophomore Cory Lund (El Segundo, CA) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, April 28.

Lund was a key factor in the Ephs 2-0 week. He scored seven goals, six in the first half as the Ephs built an 11-2 lead, and had two ground balls in a 14-12 win over Middlebury. In a 12-9 NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Colby, Lund scored once and had four assists and added two more ground balls. Lund became the first Eph to score 50 goals in a season since John Moorhead scored a school record 58 goals in the 2000 season. Lund is second on the team with 70 points (50 goals, 20 assists).

Lund has helped the Ephs (14-2) set a single-season school record for wins. Williams is scheduled to play Amherst at Tufts University Saturday at 3 p.m. in the conference semifinals.
