WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams College men's soccer team senior captain Geoff Danilack has been named Third Team All-New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for the second consecutive year.
This season Danilack was one of just two field players on the team to start all 16 games this season. He was a four-year letterman with two years in the midfield and the last two years on the backline,
Danilack played in two Final Fours in his Eph career that spanned 64 games. He netted two goals in his career and assisted on three for a total of seven career points. This season the Eph defense allowed but 1.5 goals a game.
"Geoff was the consummate competitor for our squad this season playing nearly every minute of every match at centerback, a difficult task in our league," noted Eph head coach Erin Sullivan. "His steady, commanding presence was pivotal in solidifying a revamped backline and he made immeasurable contributions on both sides of the ball. It's no surprise that Geoff has again been recognized as one of the top defenders in New England. His field presence and unique combination of composure, tenacity, and tactical intelligence will leave a large void to fill."
Previously this fall Danilack was named Second Team All-NESCAC. As a junior Danilack earned First Team All-NESCAC honors.
In addition Danilack was named Academic All-NESCAC his junior and senior years and last season he was named to the NSCAA East Region Scholar All-American team.
