WILIAMSTOWN, MA – The Williams College men's soccer team will play at Middlebury Saturday at 12:00 PM in the NESCAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
On Tuesday Middlebury (6-2-2 NESCAC) defeated Williams (4-4-2 NESCAC) on the Ephs' Cole Field 2-0 in the final regular season contest for both teams. Middlebury is the third seed in the tournament and the Ephs are the sixth seed.
The Eph attack is led by junior midfielder Chris Fleischer who is tied for team high in goals with senior defender Greg Andreou and Fleischer leads in points having registered a team best 3 assists for 11 points this season.
Senior Aaron Schein has played 1323.22 minutes in goal this season and has made 41 saves. Schein owns a goals against average of .820 and sports a .774 save percentage.
The winner of the Williams vs. Middlebury contest will advance to next weekend's NESCAC semifinals to be played at the highest remaining seeded team.
