Men's Tennis Overpowers Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY-- The Williams men's tennis team picked up a crucial 7-2 road win over conference rival Middlebury on Saturday.

Williams got off to a hot start in doubles play. Brian Chow and Bryan Astrachan won 8-4 at number three, Matt Micheli and Felix Sun won 8-5 at number two, and Alex Schidlovsky and Trey Meyer won 8-6 at number one. 

Williams continued to roll in singles play, winning at numbers three through six, each in straight sets. Matt Micheli turned in a nice 6-4, 6-4 performance at number three. Zach Weiss won 6-3, 6-0 at number four. 

"We played great at doubles and it was big to win five first sets in singles," said head coach Dan Greenberg, "I'm excited for the progress we've made in the last week and look forward to continuing it."
