WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Dan Greenberg's Williams men's tennis team (13-4) has been selected as an NCAA Regional Host Site this weekend with play beginning on Friday and the regional champion being determined on Sunday.

Matches will be played outdoors on the Torrence M. Hunt '44 Tournament Courts, but if inclement weather intrudes, play will move inside the Lansing Chapman Rink and/or the Bennington (VT) Tennis Center.

The Bizantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif., will host the NCAA quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals of the team competition, singles, and doubles play May 21-26.

"It's awesome to be hosting an NCAA Regional," noted Greenberg. "Our guys put in a lot of work this year to earn another week of post-season play, and I know they're going to make the most of it. We're also lucky to have such a nice venue for this tournament and a great support staff, so it should be a fun weekend."

The championships provide for a 43-team tournament. Automatic qualification (AQ) is granted to 36 conference champions, which form "Pool A." One team was selected from true independents and schools from conferences that do not have an automatic bid for their champions (Pool B). The remaining six teams are selected from those teams in conferences with automatic bids that did not win their conference's AQ.
