Williams Men’s Track & Field Earns National Team & Individual Academic Laurels

NEW ORLEANS – All-Academic Team honors and Individual for the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Track & Field season were announced on July 16 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Overall, there were 150 different programs honored for their academic excellence.

Ethan Barron's Williams team posted a team GPA of 3.48. Thirteen Ephs earned All-Academic honors this year.

"Honestly, there are few awards more noteworthy than these Academic All-American awards, " state Barron.  "You have to excel in both arenas of the student-athlete life in order to earn them.  The sheer volume of individuals earning them each year is one of the main reasons I'm so proud to be coaching at Williams.

"Without a doubt, this is a team of scholar athletes.  They are in-season 6-9 months each year and still brilliantly navigate life at one of the most academically rigorous colleges in the world.  This team award speaks volumes for our balance on and off the track as well as our abilities to look out for one another and support them through difficult times in the academic year. "
