Mike Blair joins the Williams College coaching staff in the fall of 2018 after two years in Baton Rouge, La. working with the LSU Track & Field team, specifically their jumps and multi squads. Prior to his time in the Southeastern Conference, Blair was an assistant coach at his alma mater Tufts University helping helm them to both the 2014 and 2015 NESCAC titles.
As an athlete at Tufts, Blair competed at the NCAA Championships in both the heptathlon and decathlon earning All-America honors in the decathlon in 2013. Regionally he was a 3-time NESCAC champion in the high jump, while also earning All-NESCAC honors in the long jump and triple jump. He still holds the Tufts University school record in the heptathlon - 4,900 points.
Blair earned degrees in both International Relations and Economics at Tufts in 2013 and shifted gears to become an Emergency Room Technician upon graduation. At Williams, Blair’s versatility allows him to work alongside all power and speed athletes.
