HADLEY, MA — Williams College junior second baseman Theresa Legan (New Milford, CT) was selected Second Team All-NESCAC by the conference's coaches, it was announced recently.
Legan was one of two Ephs to play in all 37 games during the 2013 season. She led all Eph regulars in batting average, hitting at a .367 clip (44 for 120). Those 44 hits led the team. Legan also walked eight times — as many times as she struck out during 2013 — and finished wirh a robust .406 on-base percentage, second on the squad. She was also second on the team in total bases with 46.
She had two doubles and also stole seven baes in 11 attempts, second on the Ephs.
Legan was equally solid in the field, where she made only four errors in 164 chances with 84 putouts and 76 assists. She played a role in four double plays and finished with a .976 fielding percentage.
