CLERMONT, FL. -- The Williams College softball team had its roughest day of the season to date Thursday, dropping an 11-4 decision to Buffalo State and a 5-0 decision to Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Ephs fell to 6-3 on the season. They will play Colby and St. Thomas Friday.

In the opener, Buffalo State jumped out to a 7-0 lead after 3 1/2 innings Thursday.

Lindsey Precht had an RBI-single and Brooke Bovier an RBI-double in a four-run bottom of the fourth that made it 7-4, but that would be as close as the Ephs would get.

The Ephs had only three hits in the loss. Priscilla Pino had the other. Bovier took the loss, allowing 10 hits and eight runs, six earned, while walking three and striking out two over five innings.

In the nightcap, Whitewater's Kelynn Sporer shutout the Ephs on five hits and three walks over seven innings. She struck out two. Emma Harrington took the loss for the Ephs, allowing 12 hits over six innings. She did not walk a batter and struck out four.

Pino, Precht, Taylor Donze, Ali Graebner and Kacey Cramer each had one hit for the Ephs.
