Ali Graebner & Emma Harrington Named to Capital One Academic All-District I Softball First Team

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams College senior outfielder and captain Ali Graebner (Short Hills, NJ) and junior pitcher Emma Harrington (Columbus, OH) have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District I Softball First Team.

By virtue of their First Team distinction Graebner and Harrington will now be included in the Academic All-America ballot for Division III. 

At the time Graebner and Harrington were nominated the Ephs had played 21 games and owned a record of 15-6. Graebner a pre-med biology major has a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Harrington, majoring in both computer science and mathematics, has a 4.05 GPA.

Graebner a four-year letter winner had started all 21 games this spring, playing six at second base and 15 in center field. She led the Ephs in games started (21), batting average (.429), hits (30), doubles (5), HBP (4) and was second in RBI (18). She also was successful on all four of her stolen base attempts, had an on base percentage of .468, a slugging percentage of .529. Her fielding percentage was .980, 

Harrington in 12 appearances (10 starts) had a record of 7-3 with one save. In 62.1 innings she had fashioned an ERA of 1.80. She had registered 47 strikeouts and had issued 24 walks. The opposition was batting .214 versus Harrington.
