WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams College senior captain and centerfielder Mo Frank (Amherst, MA) has been named to the Capital One District I All-Academic Softball First Team. By virtue of her selection to the District I First Team Frank now becomes eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
A four-year letterman Frank has played third base and all three of the outfield positions in her career. Currently she patrols center field where she sports a 1.000 fielding percentage having handled all 36 chances to date without a miscue.
Frank's .466 batting average tops the Eph team this season, as do her 55 hits. She has an on-base percentage of .523 and has stolen nine bases in 10 attempts. Frank is third on the team with 66 total bases, which includes five doubles and three triples. She's also knocked home 15 runs and scored 28 this year.
Frank has played in 120 games in her career in the Purple Valley and has 125 hits. Fifteen of her hits have been doubles, six have been triples and she has one home run. She has driven in 47 runs. Additionally she has scored 71 runs and stolen 21 bases in 25 attempts.
A double major in biology and anthropology, Frank is a three-time Academic All-NESCAC honoree.
Frank and her Eph teammates will next see action on Friday at 5:00 p.m. when they host Berkshire County rival MCLA in an NCAA Tournament regional game on the Ephs' Cole Field.
