DANBURY, Conn. — The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Division III New England Softball All-Star Team on Wednesday and among the honorees were three members of the 2015 Williams College softball team.
Mo Frank (Amherst, MA), who graduated Sunday from Williams, was a First Team selection. She had previously garnered All-America honors from the NFCA and All-America Academic honors. She was also a NFCA All-Region selection and an All-NESCAC choice.
Williams concluded its season with a 32-9 mark, the third time inprogram history an Eph team had surpassed the 30-win mark in a single season. Frank led the Ephs with a .450 batting average, a .510 on-base percentage and walks with 16. She was second with 58 hits and 11 stolen bases and third in slugging percentage at .551, knocking out four triples and five doubles this season.
Sophomores Brooke Bovier and Alison Michalik were ECAC All-New England Second Team selections. Bovier (Port Orange, Fla.) has had a a strong sophomore campaign, finishing 15-3 with a 1.53 ERA. She pitched 119 innings and allowed just 87 hits and 42 walks while striking out 86. In 14 starts, she had 10 complete games.
Michalik (Naperville, Ill.) followed up a impactful freshman campaign with a super sophomore effort, leading the Ephs in at-bats (151), runs scored (35), hits (59) and triples (4). She batted .391 with a .408 on-base percentage and a .503 slugging percentage. She finished in the top four in total bases (76), RBI (27), and stolen bases (7) while comitting only eight errors in 40 games at shortstop and finishing with a .948 fielding percentage.
