2016 NFCA All-America Teams

LOUISVILLE, KY. — Williams College senior left fielder Erica Li (Salt Lake City, UT) has been selected a 2016 National fastpitch Coaches Association All-American.

Previously, Li was named the NESCAC Co-Player of the Year and a NFCA First Team All-New England selection. On Wednesday, Li was named a Third Team All-American by the organziation.

Li was named the NESCAC's Co-Player of the Year, playing in all 46 games and batting .429 while setting single-season Williams records for GP (46); at-bats (163), runs scored (52); and triples (6). She connected for 70 hits, only the second Williams player to reach that total in a single season, and made just one error all season, albeit playing out of position at catcher.

She finished her career first all-time at Williams in games played (155), second in at-bats (473); third in runs scored (122); 2nd in hits (167); eighth in stolen baes (36), seventh in total bases (203); and 10th in batting average (.353).

"Erica's season is among the best I've seen at Williams by an individual," Ephs' head coach Kris Herman said. "Her offense was remarkable — 70 hits is a tremendous milestone and 23 ahead of her closest teammate on a team full of good hitters. Plus her defense was among the best we saw all year. She is an outstanding choice for All-American honors."
