HADLEY, MASS. -- Williams College first year softball utility player Mara Kipnis from Redmond, Washington, was named the NESCAC Softball Player of the Week for her stellar play in eight games last week.
Kipnis batted .526 (10-for-19) for the week, with two doubles and four home runs. She had a .565 on-base percentage and a 1.263 slugging percentage. She drove in 11 runs in eight games and scored seven runs. She also did not commit an error in 15 chances in the field.
Through the first 12 games of the season Kipnis is the Eph team leader in home runs (4), RBI (11), and slugging percentage (1.263).
