OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC -- Kris Herman's Croatian National Women's Adult Softball Team went 6-4 in the recent 2019 European Championships played in Poland and Czechoslovakia.

"We were 17th of 23 of teams," noted Herman. "Last time Croatia was 16th and they have been as high as 13th."
"A big impact on the placing is that this is an Olympic qualifying year so many teams are loaded with Americans. We have one."
"I'm really proud of the effort and togetherness of this team," Herman added, "We have players from 15 to 41 years old and they have stuck together all week. They played many positions and pushed themselves in practice and games. Teams are teams and this is a good one."
After a short break Kris Herman will return to Croatia to coach the U-16 Croatian National Team in the U-16 European Championships Croatia is hosting in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia July 29 – August 3. Croatia is seeded 11th in the 14-team field.
