Franconia, NH – The Williams Alpine Ski Team raced day two of the UNH carnival today at Cannon Mountain. The track was icy and the Eph women had another great day on the slopes.

Sophomore Maddie Dekko led the women's team again in the slalom with a 16thplace finish. Senior Hannah Hunsaker followed close behind in 22nd.  Freshman Hannah Trudeau and senior Gibson Donnan showed consistent skiing, placing 42nd and 43rd respectively.

On the men's side sophomore Will Snyder had a career best finish of 24thplace.  Senior Charlie Harrison showed solid skiing with a 30thplace finish and junior Paul Sheils finished 40th. Head coach Kelsey Levine commented: "As a team I am really excited that we upped our performance from last week, it's fun to have that kind of momentum building throughout the season.  It's great to see Maddie Dekko get into the top fifteen and Will Snyder moved from bib 67 to 25thplace, that type of movement is difficult and impressive."

The team finished the weekend in 6thplace over all after the nordic and alpine results were combined.  Dartmouth won for a second week in a row.

The EISA Carnival circuit will take next weekend off from competition and the Ephs will return to racing on February 1-2 for the UVM carnival at Stowe Mountain.
