Waterville Valley, NH – The Williams Alpine Ski Team had solid results today at the Harvard Carnival giant slalom race. Cold temperatures over night helped to create better snow conditions today as the Ephs put their early season GS training to the test.

Leading 4 women into the top 60 was junior Maddie Dekko finishing in 10th place, a career best giant slalom carnival result. Sophomore Nadine Levey had a great day finishing in 26th. Junior Anna Bruce and senior Clara Hathorne finished 32nd and 51st respectively.

Senior Cole Janco led the men's team with a great top 30 result finishing 27th. Senior Paul Sheils was close behind in 31st, with senior Will Kannegieser in 32nd. Senior Ryan Schmidt rounded out the men's team in 48th. "The team is showing more composure with each day and each run" Assistant Coach Charlie Harrison said. "Today there were some exceptional runs and a general sense of eagerness to get to the finish line with dynamic skiing. We are looking forward to skiing on a hard surface and exciting race hill next weekend at Stowe."

The women finished 5th in the 13 team field today and the men finished 7th.

The Ephs head to Stowe, VT next weekend (January 24th and 25th) for the University of Vermont Carnival.
