QUARRY ROAD, ME – Every day is a good day to be an Eph but after today's results, it is just a little bit better. Huge shout out to head coach Jason Lemiuex and assistant coach Gerrit Garberich for the perfect wax job.
The men started the day off in their 15k classic individual start race. After all of the men crossed the finish line, it was apparent they were feeling very strong. The first male finisher was junior Henry Mcgrew who landed a top 15 place in 13th place, only 10 seconds out of top 10. This is a season best for Mcgrew and we look forward to continuing seeing him climb in the ranks. Following Mcgrew was teammate sophomore Isaac Freitas-Eagan who landed in 22nd place. Hot on Freitas-Eagan's heels were teammates freshman Jacob Jampel in 24th place and senior captain Jack Consenstein in 25th. That makes 4 men in the top 30!
The Williams Nordic men's team finished their day in 5th place overall. These spectacular rankings set the tone for the women's race.
After completing their 10k classic individual start race, the first Eph lady finisher was senior captain Ingrid Thyr who ended up in 25th place. This is also a season best for Thyr thus far. Keep your eye out for this one as she gets stronger and stronger and continues to move up in the rankings.
