HADLEY, Mass. — Williams College senior guard Emily Chang (Newton, Mass.) has been selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, Feruary 2nd.
Chang poured in a career-high 30 points on Senior Day to lead Williams to a critical 83-76 conference win over Trinity. She drained eight 3-pointers (57.1%) and was 9-for-15 (60%) from the floor. She added two rebounds and a steal in the victory. In the third quarter alone, Chang scored 18 of the Ephs' 28 points, hitting six 3-pointers as Williams saw a nine-point lead grown to a 20-point advantage. For the week, Chang averaged 21.0 points per game and shot 47.6 percent from 3-point range and was 4-for-4 at the foul line.
Chang is third on the Ephs in points per game with 10.1 and tops all conference players in three-pointers made with 51.
