WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Two members of Kata Maloney's Williams women's crew team have repeated as All-NESCAC Team honorees.
Russell earned First Team recognition, while Miller was accorded Second Team laurels.
The Ephs posted a fifth place finish at the New England Rowing Championships and a sixth place finish at the National Invitational Rowing Championship, which translated into the team securing its 25th consecutive appearance in the NCAA DIII Rowing Championships.
"Eileen is in her third year in the varsity boat and this year she has really stepped up her verbal leadership as a returning member of the boat," said Maloney. "She has always been a powerful physical leader and this year, her continued growth has added another dimension to her abilities. I look forward to continuing to work with her!"
"Bertie is a fighter," Maloney stated. "She is a great utility player and relishes the opportunity to sit in any seat and demonstrate her ferocity. She has been a stalwart member of the varsity and each year brings more intention to her work. She has set a great tone for the future and I appreciate her desire to finish her time at Williams on a strong note."
