WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Williams College women's ice hockey team (10-12-2, 7-7-2 NESCAC) has been seeded seventh in the NESCAC Tournament beginning Saturday Feb. 25.
Meghan Gillis' Eph team will travel to New London, Conn. to face second seeded Connecticut College Camels (14-7-3, 10-5-1 NESCAC) in a 3:00 p.m. contest
The Camels boast the conference's top rated defense in NESCAC, allowing an average of just one goal a game in the 16 NESCAC regular season contests this winter. The Ephs allowed 2.25 per game.
Williams is making its ninth consecutive appearance in the NESCAC Tournament and are looking to advance to the semifinal round for the first time since 2014, which was the year the Ephs captured their first NESCAC title.
In the two regular season contests between the Ephs and the Camel in 2016-17, Connecticut College prevailed twice. Connecticut College defeated Williams in Lansing Chapman Rink 3-0 and then registered a 4-1 win at home in New London.
All-time the Ephs lead the series with Connecticut College, 29-10-3, and the teams have split their last 10 games.
