Sara Lehman Named All-NESCAC in Women’s Ice Hockey

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Williams College senior forward Sara Lehman has been named to the 2017 All-NESCAC Women's Ice Hockey Second Team in a vote by the conference's coaches. "It was great to see Sara recognized by peer coaches in the league," said Eph head coach Meghan Gillis.

This season Lehman played in all 25 games and netted a team high 13 goals. She tallied two game winning goals and two power play goals this winter. With six assists on the year Lehman also led the Ephs in points. "Sara played a variety of roles in our line up over her four years. As a senior, her drive and commitment led to her being second in the league in goal scoring in the regular season and fifth overall in points," added Gillis.

"Sara is someone who worked each week to do everything in her power to make her senior campaign her best one to date. Sara's desire to get better and her love of the game were evident."

"As a coach, I always appreciated the time she took to get better and the fact that she inspired this drive to get better in many teammates who would join her for individual sessions. Over the course of her four years, Sara came regularly to individual sessions and watched video."

In her Eph career Lehman appeared in 90 games, scored 25 goals and assisted on 10 for 35 career points.
