Brynn Puppe selected NESCAC Women's Hockey Player of the Week

HADLEY, Mass. — Williams College sophomore defender Brynn Puppe (Northfield, MN) has been selected the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, March 3.

Puppe had two goals and an assist over the weekend and anchored an Eph defense that allowed three goals in two games en route to the 2019 NESCAC Championship. She had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Amherst in the conference semifinals, then scored the first goal for Williams in a 3-2 victory over Middlebury in the championship game.

Puppe was a First Team All-Conference selection this season. She has 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points over 26 games this season. 

The Ephs, (20-4-3) and champions of the NESCAC, will host defending NCAA Div. III champion Norwich University (21-5-2) Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in Lansing Chapman Rink in an NCAA Tournament First Round contest.
