WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Williams College junior forward Meghan Halloran has earned her second consecutive New England Hockey Writers DII-III All-Star honor. Halloran was one of six forwards named to the 12-member 2019-20 team.
This winter Halloran tallied a team-high 14 goals and registered a team-high 25 points by adding 11 assists (second best on the team) for the 12-9-4 Ephs who advanced to the NESCAC Tournament.
"Meghan's consistency at such a high level over her first three years at Williams has been impressive," noted Eph head coach Meghan Gillis. "Furthermore, Meghan really stepped up in her junior campaign as a leader on this team. The fact she was able to balance the demands of being a captain and one of the top scorers in the league is a testament to who she is as an athlete. We are excited to have her back as a captain again next year alongside Georgia Keogh and Avery Dunn. It has been great to see how the three captains and the rest of the team have stayed connected and supportive during these weeks apart."
Previously this winter Halloran was accorded All-NESCAC First Team honors for the second time in her career. In NESCAC pay Halloran notched 6 goals and added 7 assists for 13 points , which tied her for fourth in the conference.
In 78 career games in the Purple Valley Halloran has produced 90 points, scoring 44 goals and assisting on 46.
Halloran also letters in lacrosse for the Ephs, where she plays as a midfielder. Twice (the maximum amount for a junior), Halloran has been named to the both the Winter and Spring Academic All-NESCAC teams.
