WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – With heavy snow blanketing the Berkshires and the ongoing construction project to renovate the Weston Field Athletic Complex moving forward, the Williams men's and women's lacrosse teams find themselves without a home field on campus.
When the snow clears and Cole Field dries both Ephs teams will move to Cole Field to host games. The men's team will play on the men's soccer field and the women's team will play on the women's soccer field.
Updates to the team schedules will be made to each team's schedule online at ephsports.williams.edu as soon as a game location is confirmed.
The women's home games starting this Saturday through Mar. 22 have been planned for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, UMass-Amherst and/or Smith College.
This Saturday the Eph women will host Bowdoin at McGuirk Stadium at UMass at noon.
The Springfield game on Mar. 5th is being moved to Springfield and will start at 7:00 PM.
The March 8th women's game versus Trinity will be played at MCLA if that field is ready. Should the MCLA field not be playable the game will be played at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. The same arrangement will be in effect for the Bates game on Mar. 22.
The Eph men's team has secured the use of the turf field at Keene State in Keene, NH for its home games on Mar. 15 versus Connecticut College and Mar. 22 versus Bates.
Preparations are under way to provide live stats and video of each of the re-located games.
