Williams Women’s Lacrosse Ranked 12th Nationally

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Chris Mason's Williams College women's lacrosse team 6-1 overall and 3-1 in NESCAC play is one of eight NESCAC teams appearing in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) national top twenty.

Mason's Ephs are fourth highest ranked NESCAC team. The Ephs went to Florida last week and picked up wins over Union College and Wellesley College and this week they will play three road games in New England.

Tuesday the Ephs will travel to Medford, MA for a 6:00 PM contest vs. Tufts, which is ranked 18th nationally. The Tufts Jumbos are currently 5-2 overall and 2-2 in NESCAC.

The very next day the Ephs will head north to Castleton [VT] State for a game that was postponed from March.

On Saturday the Ephs will head south and play at Little Three rival Wesleyan. The Wesleayn Cardinals are currently 5-4 on the year and 0-4 in NESCAC.

Senior goalie Ali Piltch is currently fifth in NESCAC with 48 saves and owns a 7.14 goals against average.

Senior midfielder Rebecca McGovern leads the Ephs in goals scored with 16 and her 9 assists gives her a team best 25 points. Junior attack Bridget Malicki leads the Ephs with 10 assists and her seven goals gives her 17 points thus far this season.
