HADLEY, MA — Williams College senior midfielder Emma TenBarge (Peapack, N.J.) has been selected as a member of the 2nd Teal All-New England Small College Women's lacrosse Team for the 2019 season.
TenBarge started in all 15 games at midfield for the Ephs, who completed their season with a 7-8 mark. She led the team in points (50), goals (43), free-position shots (31), free-position goals (17), draw controls (105), and was second in caused turnovers (25) and third in groundballs (37).
She became the first Eph woman to surpass the 40-goal mark in a single-season since Sam Weinstein scored 49 goals in the 2010 season. In her four-year career, TenBarge led the team in goals during three seasons. She finished with a career total of 145 goals, well inside the top 10 in program history. Her 105 draw controls this season led the conference as well and she also led the team in draw controls for three seasons at Williams. Her 105 draw controls this season were the most in the NESCAC since 2001. Her 7.0 draw controls per game ranks 20th in the country.
TenBarge was a First Team All-NESCAC selection in 2017 and the NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2016.
"I'm excited for Emma and her All-NESCAC nod this year," Ephs head coach Alice Lee said. "She had a tremendous impact on both sides of the ball and was especially key in our draw control possessions."
